These are the easiest and the prettiest favors I have made so far for my sons birthday with the help of my dear friend, Sheelu, who also took these pictures.

I had these take-out boxes from his last years outdoor birthday and was trying to find a way to use them again so here they are.

I made holes on either side and added handles with jute twine. I used colorful card stock to make these flowers – see instructions here. I hot glued them along with the ribbon I made with left over paper and handwrote the thank you note for each kid[I have greyed out the name but you can use your imagination] to add a personal touch.

I filled it with fruit snacks, chocolates and a toy but you can add whatever you like, they are so pretty and can be made for baby and bridal showers too.

I absolutely love these giant newspaper flowers and believe me when I say that these photographs don’t do justice to how gorgeous they really were. We placed them in bunches around the loft in “strategic” locations. It was subtle because of the material so I made them huge so they would stand out. This idea was inspired by my good friend and incredibly talented Brittany Watson and her giant paper flower wedding, which she made herself, check out her blog here. This is the most fun I have had with newspapers of late and we made a bunch of other decorations too, see my next post.
